Three Extraction Point - Radon Mitigation

John reached out to our team as he recently had a radon test show high levels. ALS proceeded and completed a 48 hr short-term radon test with a continuous radon monitor. The test came back at 3.5 close to the EPA action level of 4 pCi/L. John was still concerned and felt important to install a mitigation system to bring the levels down more.

Our sales manager Doug spent some time with John and his family to provide a proposal. It was important to John and his wife that the system work efficiently and remain aesthetically pleasing to the home. There were two additions to the home that were added at different times and each had a crawlspace. After spending some time, they decided to have an extraction point in the basement area as well as one in each of the added crawlspaces. As mentioned, aesthetics, warranty, and sound were all concerns.

Our team arrived and installed the radon mitigation system. We installed the main extraction point in the basement. The schedule 40 pipe was ran in line to an extraction point in each crawlspace then to the side of the home. We installed a Prowler Low Voltage radon fan, moisture water guard (10-year warranty), and a muffler to dampen noise. John wanted the exterior aesthetic package as well, so our team installed a nice-looking cover and ran the vent pipe through the soffit and out of the roof.

This system is tucked out of the way and is working extremely efficiently. Our team was happy we were able to help John and his wife lower their radon levels and improve the indoor air quality of their home.
