Imagine unwinding after a long day in your Lawton haven, only to be troubled by an unseen threat. This was the reality for David, a homeowner in Lawton, Michigan, who contacted ALS Radon & Environmental upon discovering concerning radon gas levels in his home. Radon, a naturally occurring gas, can seep into basements through cracks and foundations, posing a health risk over time. Testing confirmed levels exceeding safe limits in David's home, prompting the need for immediate action.

How We Fixed the Problem:

Our team devised a customized sub-slab radon air mitigation system for David's Lawton home:

  • Strategic Placement and Performance Verification: Following installation, we used a specialized tool called a manometer to measure the system's effectiveness in drawing radon gas from beneath the slab. This ensured optimal performance and peace of mind.
  • Strategic Pipe Placement: Utilizing data from the inspection, our specialists identified a single, strategically located extraction point in the basement. PVC piping was then carefully routed throughout the basement to efficiently capture radon gas while minimizing disruption to David's living space.
  • Powerful Radon Fan Installation: A high-performance Radon Eagle Extreme Radon Fan was installed, efficiently removing radon gas from beneath the home and venting it safely outdoors.
