A radon reduction sub-slab depressurization system was installed on this property. Schedule 40 piping was run from the basement and through the garage and vented out of the roof. The sump-pump was sealed to prevent radon gas from entering the home and for the radon reduction system to properly work.

Radon System Installation in Middleville, MI

Erin in Middleville tested her home for radon gas and found they had high levels above the EPA Action Level of 4 pCi/L. After completing some research she reached out to ALS Property Associates, Inc. and scheduled a free radon inspection.

Doug Smith with the ALS team arrived and met with Erin and her husband. Doug explained how a radon system works, showed them videos, and answered all their questions and concerns. When designing the radon system he explained there was not a good way to run the radon fan to the exterior of the home. The system would have to be ran through to the garage attic and vented through the roof. Erin and her husband were okay with this as they were not to excited about having a radon fan on the outside anyway.

The ALS Property Associates, Inc installation crew which included Doug and Bucky went exactly as planned. They installed the sump pump pit cover, radon extraction point, and installed the radon fan in the attic of the garage. The radon gas is now being vented safely above the roof. All of the completed work was done with top notch workmanship and the radon system is built to last. The radon levels in the home were lowered well below the EPA action level and the basement is now safe. Erin and her husband are happy with the completed work and relieved that there air is safe to breathe!
