A sub-slab depressurization radon reduction system was installed in the basement of the home and vented above the roof line in the rear corner. A sump-pump cover was installed and sealed to prevent radon gas from entering the home and to seal the slab for the radon system.
We found this attic did not have any air flow and had a lack of sufficient insulation. The warm air from the house was getting through to the attic causing condensation on the attic sheathing. This was causing mold to grow on the attic sheathing. We worked with the client to formulate a plan for a mold remediation along with repairs to fix the venting and insulation issues.
