In Kalamazoo, MI, a homeowner was worried about the risks of radon exposure, a leading cause of lung cancer. Studies show that radon levels as low as 4.0 picocuries per liter can pose risks comparable to smoking multiple cigarettes daily.
To address this concern, the homeowner chose to replace the aging radon fan and upgrade the existing PVC piping to sturdy schedule 40 PVC. This enhancement significantly boosts the system's efficiency, ensuring radon gas is effectively vented safely above the roof line.

This is a good example of an exterior radon fan with a moisture water guard (Extended 10 year warranty). The schedule 40 PVC vent piping was ran to the top of the second story, then around and above the gutter safely venting the radon gas above the home. The homeowner was happy we were able to place the radon fan and vent piping inconspicuously in the rear corner out of site. The fan and piping blend in well against the white siding of the home.
We were able to strategically place the suction point of this radon mitigation system in a perfect location. We located it near the main stack which is a potential entry point and will also help the system communicate with other areas of the basement slab.
Following the mold remediation of this customers basement we proceeded and painted the block foundation walls with an antimicrobial water proofing masonry coating.
